Dromcollogher to celebrate contribution of two teachers
A GENERATION of teaching at St Joseph's National School in Dromcollogher will be celebrated this Friday, October 2, when past pupils and the local community pay tribute to the outgoing principal and deputy principal, who have retired after a combined 67 years at the school.
Principal David Browne, who has been at the school for 30 years, and deputy principal Frances Noonan, who has been at St Joseph's for 37 years, both retired on August 31.
This Friday, hundreds of past pupils have been invited to attend an event in Dromcollogher Hall where a presentation will be made to both teachers.
Friday night will begin with a Mass in St Bartholomew's Church at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
