CityJet to cut their Shannon-Paris route

CITYJET have confirmed they will terminate their service to Paris from October 24 next.

The airline say that all passengers booked on flights from Shannon to Paris or beyond after this date will be reaccommodated on Air France flights from Dublin or receive a full refund.

The route was introduced in February 2008 and developed a "loyal following" but the airline say that the economic downturn has led to a steep decline in numbers using the route.

"As a result, CityJet and Air France have reached the difficult decision to terminate the Shannon-Paris service from 24 October 2009."

CityJet is AirFrance's Irish subsidary.
