Chorus ntl creates 50 jobs in Limerick

THE Limerick economy has received a boost this Thursday with the announcement that Chorus ntl is to create 50 jobs at its call centre at the Limerick Enterprise Development Park in Roxboro.

"It's a great news story for Limerick because it is a good positive start to the year that there is somebody hiring people in Limerick but also it is a great news story for us and it is part of our commitment to improve our customer service to all of our customers in Ireland,"

said Robert Dunn, ceo of Chorus ntl. "We have made this our centre of excellence for customer service in Ireland and we have really been building on that for the last two years since we made that decision and in late 2009 the company was awarded the FAS excellence through people award and I think that recognises all of the effort that had been made by the company to improve its services," he added.

Over 300 people are now employed by Chorus ntl at its offices at the former Krups facility.

Twenty-seven of the new staff began work on Monday and a further 23 will be recruited in the coming weeks.
