A quarter of Dell staff to be affected by April

ALMOST a quarter of the staff within Dell will be gone by the end of April, Deputy Kieran O'Donnell has confirmed.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader following an enquiry made to Dell, Deputy O'Donnell confirmed 450 staff were to go in April, with the remaining 1,450 to go by the end of next January.

"What is now required is an immediate and proactive government response, in the form of a multi-agency task force. The time for talking is over, we now have a window of opportunity in that jobs are to be lost but not for 12 months. But the fact some of the jobs will be gone by May makes this even more urgent," said Deputy O'Donnell.
