Road reopens following Limerick road accident

THE N21, Limerick to Adare dual carriageway, has re-opened following a serious road accident this morning.

Details of the accident, which happened near the Patrickswell exit at around 9.15am, remain unclear.

Five units of the fire service from Limerick city and Rathkeale were deployed at the scene of the accident for several hours as were paramedics and gardai.

A woman was taken to University Hospital Limerick following the accident but Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
