Mowlam Healthcare in takeover of Caherass Nursing Home

MOWLAM Healthcare has completed its purchase of Caherass Nursing Home on the outskirts of Croom.

The company has been managing the facility for the last 12 years.

A purpose built facility with 50 single bedrooms, Caherass Nursing Home has been recently refurbished and renovated.

Mowlam Healthcare executive chairman Pat Shanahan said: “The acquisition of Caherass nursing home has secured the long term viability of the nursing home in Croom and the jobs of our employees in Caherass. The director of nursing Mary Carey and her committed team have established a reputation for the highest quality of care, thus enhancing the quality of life for those living in the nursing home.”

Mowlam Healthcare is a Limerick-based company and operates 23 nursing homes throughout Ireland.

The company has over 1,300 employees and is the largest provider of private nursing home care in the country.

It operates three other care homes in Limerick including: the Adare and District Nursing Home, Roseville House Nursing Home in Ballysimon and The Park retirement village in Castletroy.
