A TEENAGE girl from Limerick city who was missing for over a month has been found safe and well.
Prior to being found, Catherine O’Connell, 17, was last seen in the Glentworth Street area of the city on the morning of Thursday, May 15.
A nationwide appeal was launched following her disappearance with gardai expressing concern for Catherine’s safety.
A number of searches, which were carried out in Limerick around the time she disappeared proved unsuccessful and it was reported, in recent weeks, that the teenager may have been in the company of an older man in Cork city.
In a brief statement, issued this morning, the Garda Press Office confirmed that Catherine “has been located safe and well”.
Details of when and where she was located have not been disclosed.
