IT’S a far cry from the confines of Wheatfield Prison, but former inmate Ger Dundon has been pictured at the X Factor auditions in London.
The feared criminal has been enjoying freedom since his release from Wheatfield Prison in Dublin in January after serving five years for a public disorder offence.
Sitting just yards from judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh, the 27 year-old posed for a selfie, which has appeared on his Facebook page, as reported in the Irish Mirror yesterday.
The once-feared gangster also posed with his brother Kenneth Jnr – who has no involvement in crime.
He was joined on the trip to the ITV show in London by a young relative.
Writing online Dundon said: “At the xfactor some laugh.”
When surprised pals asked if he had really attended the show the thug responded: “Ya man great laugh I even got up n done the gang man (sic) style lol.”
Dundon was granted early release with remission after being imprisoned for violent disorder. In July, his eldest brother Wayne, 36, was jailed for life for the murder of businessman Roy Collins.
Another brother John, 31, is serving a life sentence for ordering the murder of innocent Shane Geoghegan who was gunned down in a case of mistaken identity in 2008.
Dessie Dundon, 30, was jailed for life for killing gangland rival Kieran Keane.
Ger has been staying in London with sister Annabel, 23, who is wanted in Ireland for allegedly threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend April Collins who turned State witness.
Recently he posted online: “Feels good to be able to come and go when you feel like it. It would be better if my bros were here but I’ll just soldier on. It is what it is.”
