A LIMERICK woman has appeared in court charged with murdering van driver David D’Arcy in Dublin last month.

A LIMERICK woman has appeared in court charged with murdering van driver David D’Arcy in Dublin last month.

Rose Lynch, 49, of Oakleigh Wood, Dooradoyle was brought before Dublin District Court this evening after she was charged with killing the father of two on November 28, last.

Mr D’Arcy died after he was shot a number of times outside his home at Cherry Orchard Avenue, Ballyfermot as he was leaving for work at around 7am.

During this evening’s brief court sitting, Det Inspector Colm O’Malley said Lynch made no reply when she was formally charged with Mr D’Arcy’s murder at Ballyfermot Garda Station this afternoon.

The defendant was granted free legal aid by Judge William Hamill who directed that she receive any medical attention she needs while in custody.

Lynch was remanded in custdoy and is due to appear in court again on Friday.
