GARDAI are appealing for information following a shooting incident on the northside of the city over the Bank Holiday weekend.

GARDAI are appealing for information following a shooting incident on the northside of the city over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A number of shots were fired at a house at Old Cratloe Road at around 11.30 on Friday night.

It is understood a number of people - including at least one young child - were in the house at the time although nobody was injured.

The scene of the shooting was technically examined over the weekend and gardai have conducted house-to-house inquiries as part of their invesigations.
