A YOUNG man has been arrested in connection with a tiger kidnapping on the outskirts of Limerick city at the weekend.

A YOUNG man has been arrested in connection with a tiger kidnapping on the outskirts of Limerick city at the weekend.

The 19-year-old was arrested at an address in the city this morning and he is being questioned at Henry Street garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He is the second person to be arrested in connection with the alleged abduction of Stephen Cusack from a house in the Castletroy area on Sunday night.

A 15-year-old boy was granted bail when he appeared in court yesterday charged with falsely imprisoning the 19-year-old, whose family run a busy post office and newsagents in the Garryowen area of the city.

The man who was arrested this morning can be held without charge for a maximum of seven days
