GARDAI investigating the murder of Ger McMahon in Prospect last week have arrested three people.

GARDAI investigating the murder of Ger McMahon in Prospect last week have arrested three people.

A man in his 30s, a woman in her 40s and a teenage girl were all arrested in the Mungret area this morning.

All three are being detained under the provisions of Section 30, of the Offences Against the State Act and they are being questioned at Henry Street, Mayorstone and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.

Mr McMahon, 43, died in hospital last Wednesday a number of hours after he was found lying on steps outside a house at Linehan Avenue. Post Mortem results showed he had died from multible stab wounds.

The three people arrested this morning can be detained for a maximum of 72 hours before being released or charged
