GARDAI have been granted a one-month adjournment to serve books of evidence against two 19-year-old men charged in connection with an alleged pipe bomb attack in Ballinacurra Weston earlier this year.

GARDAI have been granted a one-month adjournment to serve books of evidence against two 19-year-old men charged in connection with an alleged pipe bomb attack in Ballinacurra Weston earlier this year.

Gary Finnerty of Kinnity, Birr, County Offaly and Stephen Mulqueen, with addresses at Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, and Lanna, Lissycasey, County Clare, are each charged with possession of an explosive substance at Greenmount Avenue on May 15 last.

After Insp Seamus Ruane requested a further month to prepare books of evidence, Mr Finnerty was remanded to appear before the court again on December 15.

Mr Mulqueen is due to appear before the court again on December 14.
