The National Lottery has confirmed last night’s €2 million jackpot has been landed by a person who bought a €4 quickpick ticket sometime yesterday.

While it’s not the first winning Lotto ticket to be sold in Adare, it is the first to have been sold at Lohan’s Centra, which is located on the main street of the scenic village.

“It’s brilliant, there is a nice buzz around the place and hopefully the winner will come forward but we have no idea who it is,” said Louise Cusack, a supervisor at the store, who added the owner of the shop was informed late last night of the success.

For the record, the numbers drawn were - 1, 2, 7, 22, 35, 45. The bonus number was 4.
