GARDAI have seized approximately €3,000 worth of cocaine in a house in county Limerick.

GARDAI have seized approximately €3,000 worth of cocaine in a house in county Limerick.

The drugs were uncovered in a house in Kilmallock at approximately 3.30pm on Thursday.

The premises was being searched as part of a planned operation involving gardai from the Bruff district and the divisional drugs unit under Operation Thor.

“There was one consignment of drugs located in the house with an estimated value of €3,000,” said a garda source.

One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and was taken to Henry Street garda station. He has since been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
