GARDAI at Henry Street garda station in Limerick are investigating the death of a man who sustained fatal head injuries yesterday evening after an incident in the city centre.

GARDAI at Henry Street garda station in Limerick are investigating the death of a man who sustained fatal head injuries yesterday evening after an incident in the city centre.

Gardaí received a call at around 7pm on Monday evening to attend the scene of the incident, and responded immediately.

It is believed that the man fell four storeys from a carpark in the city centre. Gardaí are investigating how the man sustained the head injuries but are understood not to be looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

The man was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
