GARDAI are appealing for information after staff at a busy foodstore were threatened by an armed raider.

GARDAI are appealing for information after staff at a busy foodstore were threatened by an armed raider.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Saturday at Raheen Foodstores, Mulcair Road.

According to gardai, a lone male entered the premises and threatened the staff with what is believed to have been a handgun.

He escaped a short time later with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was physically injured during the robbery.
