A WOMAN is being questioned following the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs on the southside of Limerick city.

A WOMAN is being questioned following the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs on the southside of Limerick city.

Cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of €18,000, was recovered when gardai searched a house last last night.

A garda spokersperson has confirmed that a woman, aged in her late 30s, who was arrested during the operation remains in garda custody.

She is being questioned at Roxboro Road garda station, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

The drugs have been sent for forensic analysis and investigations are continuing.
