THE founder of the ILoveLimerick website, Richard Lynch has been unveiled as the master of ceremonies for the Limerick Going for Gold grand final.

THE founder of the ILoveLimerick website, Richard Lynch has been unveiled as the master of ceremonies for the Limerick Going for Gold grand final.

The Limerick Going for Gold initiative, which is supported by the JP McManus Charitable Foundation encourages businesses, community groups and individuals to improve their areas by getting involved in the National Tidy Towns Competition.

A total of 21 communities across the city and it’s environs are taking part in the competition, which has a prize fund of €50,000.

Mayor of Limerick, Cllr Kathleen Leddin invited Richard Lynch to a picnic lunch at Curragower Park on Clancy Strand to discuss the Going for Gold campaign and surprised the website founder with an invite to be the master of ceremonies at next month’s grand final.t

“Richard has been a great supporter to the Limerick Going for Gold Campaign and I thought he would make a fabulous MC at the Going for Gold Grand Final,” explained Mayor Leddin.

Reacting to the announcement, Richard said: “I am thrilled to have been invited to MC the Limerick Going for Gold grand final. I have been involved with the campaign over the last number of years. It is inspiring to see communities come together to reach a common goal; that is making Limerick a cleaner brighter place to work live and visit,” he said.
