GARDAI investigating an aggravated bugrlary at the home of three pensioners in Pallasgreen earlier this year have arrested a man as part of their ongoing inquiries

The 37-year-old, who was arrested in Mallow, North Cork this morning is being questioned in connection with the burglary at the home of the Creed family on May 31, last.

Seventy-four year old Willie Creed and his sisters, Nora 72, and Chrisse, 66, were assaulted and tied up in their home in Ballyluddy, Pallasgreen by a number of masked men during the incident.

The man, who is the fourth person to be arrested, is being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Henry Street garda station.

One man is currently before the courts charged in connection with the incident.
