MOTORISTS are being warned to drive with extreme caution this evening following heavy snowfall across the city and county earlier today. The snow began falling shortly before midday and continued for over an hour.
Gardai are warning that road conditions have deteriorated as a result of the snowfall and pedestrians are also being warned that footpaths are also slippy and dangerous.
Most main roads in Limerick remain passable but secondary roads, particulary in rural parts of the county have been described as lethal.
Some Bus Eireann services are experiencing delays at present and all services will be reviewed later in the afternoon.
