Man in hospital following late night Limerick stabbing

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Nicholas Street Friday night.

A man in his late 20s was stabbed in the upper body during the incident which took place at approximately 9.30pm.

He was able to make it to Henry Street Garda statiomn where he was then transferred to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

In a seperate incident, one man was taken to hospital just after 11pm last night, following a crash outside the Anglo Irish Bank in Henry Street.
