THERE was drama this Thursday afternoon as a high-speed car chase led to a crash in Limerick city centre.

Gardai arrested three youths believed to have been in a stolen vehicle which caused a three car-pile up at the intersection of O’Connell Avenue and St Gerard Street in the city.

It is understood the gardai were chasing the stolen vehicle on the inbound section of O’Connell Avenue, before it made an unexpected left turn onto St Gerard Street.
