THE scene of a fire in Southill has been preserved pending technical examinations later today.

THE scene of a fire in Southill has been preserved pending technical examinations later today.

Five units of the Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze which broke out at Salvia Court, O’Malley Park shortly after 8pm.

The blaze was brought under control a short time later but a number of units remained at the scene until just before 11pm.

The fire broke out at a private home but nobody was injured as the occupants were not home at the time.

Gardai at Roxboro Road are investigating the incident but so far there has been no indication of foul play.
