Men questioned over burglary where a Limerick man died

Two men are being questioned at Henry Street garda station
Gardai have confirmed that two men were arrested following a burglary in Doon where a man died this Thursday afternoon.

Gardai have confirmed that two men were arrested following a burglary in Doon where a man died this Thursday afternoon.

At around 2pm a brother and sister arrived home to their house in Toomaline, Doon where they found that it had been subject to a burglary.

“The house owner, a male aged 62 years, went around to the rear of the house followed shortly by his sister who found him in a collapsed state. Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene.

“The male was pronounced dead at the scene and it is being preserved for a technical examination. Following a short search two males were arrested aged 18 and 32,” said a garda spokesperson.

They are being detained at Henry Street garda station under the provisions of section 4 of Criminal Justice Act 1984.
