GARDAI are appealing for information following a hit-and-run incident during which a cyclist was knocked down.

GARDAI are appealing for information following a hit-and-run incident during which a cyclist was knocked down.

The incident happened on Rosbrien Road between Childers Road and Punches Cross at around 3.15am on Sunday.

It is understood the cyclist was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a small car, which failed to stop following the impact.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick by ambulance but has since been discharged.

Gardai at Roxboro Road are investigating the incident and are viewing CCTV footage from the area.
