THE 2012 LIMERICK Show - Munster’s largest agricultural show - will be launched next Tuesday, August 7 at 8pm in the Racecourse.
Richard Power, president and Leo Walsh, chairman, will announce details of this year’s show, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26.
Due to the continuing big crowds and support of sponsors the show continues to defy the recession and remain a two day show. The night is for sponsors and supporters and Frankie Ward, PRO, says they will have special entertainment for children.
The show society always come up with new ideas and exhibitors, and one of their new initiatives this year is to invite Aileen and Clare of Craft Corner to the launch and two days of the show.
Children aged 6 plus will be given a blank mask to create their own masterpiece using paint, glitter, paper, and lots of other fun materials. At the show they are running a competition for the best mask which will be judged by an outside judge.
