GARADAI have arrested two men following a substantial drugs seizure in County Limerick.

Cannabis Resin, which could be worth more than €2m, was seized when gardai searched a house at Annagh, Lisnagry at around 9pm yesterday.

The house was searched a short time after detectives from Henry Street station stopped a vehicle on the outskirts of the city.

A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office confirmed the searches were conducted during an operation which has been ongoing for some time.

Gardai say the scene of the discovery was preserved overnight and that the drugs are being technicaly examined.

Two men aged in their 30s and 40s were arrested and they are being detained at Henry Street and Roxoboro Road Garda Stations under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

A number of follow-up searches have been conducted and investigations are ongoing.
