Gardai issue warning following theft from patient at Limerick Regional Hospital

GARDAI are warning members of the public to be vigilant with their belongings if they are attending Limerick Regional Hospital.

The warning comes after a purse was stolen from a female patient at the hospital at the weekend.

The woman, who was asleep, woke at around 3pm to see a man in his late twenties leaving her room. She later discovered that her purse had been stolen from her handbag.

According to gardai who are investigating the incident, the purse which was purple in colour contained €70 in cash and a bank of Ireland debit card.
