GARDAI have given an undertaking in court that the book of evidence in the case of quadruple murder suspect John Geary will be presented next month.

GARDAI have given an undertaking in court that the book of evidence in the case of quadruple murder suspect John Geary will be presented next month.

Mr Geary, 31, with an address at Meadow Court, Newcastle West, is charged with murdering Sarah Hines, 25, her children Reece, 3, and Amy, five months, and 21-year-old Alicia Brough at a home in Hazel Grove, Newcastle West last November.

He appeared in court in the town this week, where he was further remanded in custody to until July 5.

Insp Eamon O’Neill said that the State will make “every effort” to have the book evidence ready on that date.
