FOUR men have been arrested by gardai investigating ongoing criminal activity in East County Limerick.
The four, who are aged in their early 20s, were arrested during a series of co-ordinated raids early this morning.
A garda spokesman has confirmed that five properties in the Doon, Pallasgreen and Caherconlish areas were searched by local gardai who were assisted by members of the dog unit and armed regional support unit.
The four are being detained at Bruff, Henry Street and Mayorstone garda stations under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, which means they can be held for a maximum of seven days without charge.
The operation is ongoing.
