THE Salesian Secondary School on the North Circular Road is to close in 2015.

THE Salesian Secondary School on the North Circular Road is to close in 2015.

The School is to amalgamate with St Nessan’s Community School in Moylish at the beginning of that school year.

The amalgamated school will be renamed as St John Bosco Community School and will be based on the grounds of St Nessan’s School in Moylish.

Parents and pupils were told at a meeting at the girls school in Fernbank on Thursday night.

Members of the Limerick-Clare Educational Training Board ratified the move at a behind closed doors meeting on Thursday lunchtime.
