A LIMERICK man has pleaded guilty to six sexual assaults dating back more than 20 years ago.
The man from Limerick city, who cannot be identified at this point, entered the guilty plea to a charge of indecent assault and six charges of sexual assault on various dates from 1990, 1991, 1992, 2000, 2006 in Roxboro shopping centre, the Crescent shopping centre and other locations in Limerick.
Judge Carroll Moran, pictured, heard that the alleged indecent assault took place on a date unknown between January 18 1991 and December 31 of that year.
The court heard his name will be placed on the sex offenders’ register, the length of time on which is to be decided subject to sentencing later this year.
State prosecutor John O’Sullivan said the ages of the victims will be an issue in this case.
His case has been adjourned to July 26, in the next sessions of Limerick Circuit Court.
