Voting underway in Fiscal Treaty referendum

VOTING is continuing across Limerick in the Fiscal Treaty referendum.

Polls across the Limerick city and Limerick constituencies opened at 7am and will remain open until 10pm tonight.

Following the closure of polling stations, the ballot boxes will be transferred under garda escort to the University of Limerick Arena in Castletroy where they will be kept overnight.

The votes will then be sorted and counted from 9am tomorrow.

The trends are expected to known by late morning but the results from the Limerick constituencies will national results are announced early tomorrow afternoon.

The votes cases in the Limerick West / North Kerry constituency will be counted in Tralee.
