A SECOND man has appeared in court charged in connection with an aggravated burglary near Boher earlier this month.

Keith Kiely, aged 37, of Bunkey, Lisnagry is accused of burglary at the home of an elderly woman at Sandy Lane, Boher on October 11, last.

It is alleged the defendant was one of a number of men who called to the house at around 5pm.

Another man was refused bail last week when he appeared in court charged with the false imprisonment of the woman.

The alleged injured party - who is aged in her 50s - was tied up for around half-an-hour before she managed to free herself and raise the alarm.

Jewellary and a small amount of cash were taken from the house during the incident.

Garda David Godfrey, Roxboro Road, told Limerick Court Kiely was arrested at an address in Castletroy last Saturday night and that when charged he replied: “I accept it”.

The case was adjourned until February 13, 2013.
