GARDAI have made a renewed appeal for information about the murder of a Moyross man in Bunratty last month.

Robert Sheehan, 21, from Pineview Gardens died at the Mid Western Regional Hospital the day after he was shot while attending his brother’s wedding reception at the Bunratty Castle Hotel.

A major investigation involving up to 100 gardai from Limerick and Clare has been underway since but nobody has been charged in connection with his murder,

Gardai suspect the father-of-one was shot because of a dispute which erupted in Moyross several months ago.

The suspected hitman and the man who is believed to have ordered the killing travelled to the UK following the killing.

Gardai have not commented on reports that one of the men has been seen in Limerick in recent weeks

A reconstruction of the events of September 2 will be broadcast on RTÉ’s Crimecall programme this Tuesday as part of a renewed appeal for information.

Previous appeals focussed on a dark coloured saloon car which was seen leaving the area following the shooting.

Two Limerick men were arrested in Cork city a number of hours after the shooting but they were subsequently released without charge.
