A MAN was granted bail over the weekend when he appeared before Limerick Court charged in connection with an alleged stabbing incident in the city on Saturday.

A MAN was granted bail over the weekend when he appeared before Limerick Court charged in connection with an alleged stabbing incident in the city on Saturday.

Eric O’Keeffe, 36, Clarina Avenue is accused of possession of an article with intent to cause an offence at around 2pm in Ballinacurra Weston.

At a special sitting of the court on Sunday, Det Garda Gary Laide said there was no objection to bail subject to a number of conditions.

O’Keeffe was ordered not to have contact with witnesses in the case and he must reside at an address in Caherdavin.

He was remanded on bail to appear before the court again on Tuesdauy
