INVESTIGATIONS are continuing after three people were seriously injured in a road crash in County Limerick this morning.

THE collision, involving a truck and three cars happened on the Croagh side of Adare shortly before 9 O’clock.

A number of ambulances attended the scene as did two units of the fire service from Rathkeale.

Two women and a man are receiving treatment at the Mid Western Regional Hospital where their injuries have been described as “serious but not life threateneing”.

Gardai at Askeaton, who are investigating the cause of the crash say a section of the N21 was closed for several hours but that it has since reopened to traffic.
