Paul O’Connell to sign two-year deal with Toulon
Munster legend Paul O’Connell is set to sign a two-year deal with French giants Toulon - and will move there after the World Cup with Ireland in the autumn.
The Irish Times is reporting this morning that French sources have confirmed O’Connell has agreed a deal. An official announcement is expected next week. Although he has a year remaining on his IRFU contract, he will be released from that in order to link up with the three-in-a-row champions until the end of the 2016-17 season.
O’Connell’s focus now is on his last game with Munster, Saturday’s Guinness Pro12 final against Glasgow in Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.
The Munster team will be announced later today.
