Tony Grehan, of Press 22, captured a wonderful action shot of Clare’s Nickey O’Connell challenging for a high ball but his hurl is almost wrapped around the head of Limerick centre-back Cathal McNamara.

Luckily the Doon player was wearing a helmet and so avoided serious injury.

Limerick lost the game on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-11 and the All Ireland champions now go forward to a semi-final clash with UCC.
