Malone takes over as Munster ‘A’ head coach
MUNSTER’S Elite Player Development Manager Peter Malone will assume the role of head coach for the province’s ‘A’ squad for this season.
Limerickman Malone, who enjoyed a highly successful playing career with Bruff and Garryowen, will be joined by Elite Development Officers Colm McMahon and Greig Oliver on the coaching panel.
Outgoing Munster ‘A’ head coach Ian Costello will act as the senior team co-ordinator in continuing the close ties between the senior and ‘A’ squad.
Former Munster Under-20 team manager Alan Miller takes over the role of match-day team manager.
The Munster ‘A’ squad open their 2013/14 campaign when they take on Connacht Eagles in their first interprovincial game at Musgrave Park next Wednesday (kick-off 5pm), and they commence their British & Irish Cup challenge in October.
