Road traffic collision in Limerick leaves two critically injured
TWO people were seriously injured in a road traffic collision outside the village of Adare, County Limerick, this Monday afternoon.
The two car collision occurred on the N21 on the Rathkeale side of Adare, just outside outside the village, at around 3.30pm this Monday.
Initial reports suggest it was a head on collision between the two cars.
The injured parties were rushed by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where their condition was described as critical.
Traffic restrictions were put in place as Gardai from Askeaton, alogn with three units from the Rathkeale and Newcastlewest fire service, were in attendance.
Gardai are advising motorists to avoid the area if at all possible with truck drivers advised to detour at Rathkeale onwards towards Askeaton and on to the N69.
