Post mortems to be conducted on bodies of Limerick twins

Post Mortem examinations will be carried out today on the bodies of two twin brothers which were found at an apartment in Limerick city centre yesterday afternoon.
The bodies of the brothers, who have been named locally as Kevin and Peter Moran, were discovered at around 3.30pm when a relative called to the apartment at Steamboat Quay where the lived.
It is understood the brothers, who were aged in their early 20s, had not been seen for a number of days. According to gardai they did not have any involvement in crime.
While gardai have launched an investigation into the cicumstances of the brother’s deaths, it is understood they do not suspect any foul play at this stage.
The results of the post mortem examinations will detirmine the course of the garda investigation. However, one line of enquiry is that the brothers may have died from a drugs overdose.
“I’m investigating the circumstances into these men’s tragic deaths. It seems they had been missing for a few days, it’s a terrible tragedy for the family,” Det Insp O’Connor who is leading the investigation.
