Man dies in Limerick city road crash
A man has died in a road crash in Corbally
A YOUNG man has died following an early-morning road crash in Limerick city.
The single-vehicle accident happened at Corbally Road near O’Driscolls bar at around 5am this morning.
The driver of the car, which hit a pole, was taken by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
A post mortem examination will be conducted later.
The road where the crash happened was sealed off for a number of hours this morning as gardai conducted forensic and technical examinations of the scene.
The deceased man, who was aged in his mid 20s, is understood to have been from the Corbally area.
