THREE men and a woman have been arrested by Bruff gardai in Dublin and Tipperary this morning in connection with aggravated burglaries in the Pallasgreen area earlier this year.

Bruff superintendent, Alan Cunningham, described it as a “major garda operation”.

Around 30 officers from Bruff, Henry Street and Roxboro garda stations and the regional response unit were involved.

Garda swooped at around 5am in West Dublin. A further male was arrested outside Tipperary Town.

They were arrested under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to seven days.

The three men and women - aged in their early twenties, 32 and 48 - have been brought to Limerick and are being questioned in Bruff and Henry Street garda stations.

In April and May four aggravated burglaries took place in the Pallasgreen area.

It is understood the four arrested are being questioned in relation to a number of aggravated burglaries in East Limerick and related activities of an organised crime gang.

A number of arrests have already been made earlier this year and two have been charged.
