Funeral arrangements for Limerick road victim announced

THE funeral arrangements for the young man who died in a road crash in County Limerick at the weekend have been announced.

Joe Scanlon, 29, from Kingsland, Bruree died in a single vehicle crash at Kilmore, Granagh at around 3.55am on Saturday.

There were no other occupants in the car, which collided with a wall.

Mr Scanlon, who was a father-of-one, was pronounced dead at the Mid Western Regional Hospital shortly after the crash.

His removal takes place from his home this evening and his funeral will take place at St Joseph’s Church, Granagh at midday tomorrow.

Gardai at Askeaton are investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.
