Cash seized in major garda operation is forfeited
Vitalli Pascari, who was sentenced to five years imprisonment at Limerick Circuit Court earlier this year after he admitted skimming the details of hundreds of bank cards
A JUDGE has ordered the forfeiture of almost €10,000 in cash which was seized during a major garda operation in the city almost two years ago.
Judge Eugene O’Kelly was told the cash - which included €4,100 and $5,650 - was seized when garda searched the home of Vitalli Pascari, aged 35, of River Road, Rhebogue in February 2011.
The father-of-two was sentenced to five years imprisonment at Limerick Circuit Court earlier this year after he admitted skimming the details of hundreds of bank cards.
Pascari - a Moldovan national - did not oppose a Police Property Application, which was made by Supt Frank O’Brien in relation to the cash which was seized at his home.
