Limerick Court

A TEENAGER who faces a multiplicity of theft and burglary charges was remanded in continuing custody when he appeared before a vacation sitting of Limerick Court.

The 16-year-old, who can’t be named, is accused of committing four separate burglaries on a number of dates during October.

He is also accused of stealing a car, power tools and several iPhones during separate incidents around the same time.

All of the offences are alleged to have taken place at address in the city.

The youth, who is in the care of the Health Care Executive, was previously refused bail by the High Court.

Insp Seamus Ruane said the state is “working expeditiously” in an effort to comply with a disclosure order which was previously in the case.

Judge Aeneas McCarthy remanded the youth in continuing custody until January 15, next.
