Adare school

ADARE'S St Nicholas Church of Ireland National School have accepted a tender for the construction of a new three-classroom school. Building work will begin at the end of April. The Department of Education gave the green light to the new school last year.

“We’ve waited for a very long time for this. It took a long time to get approved, and the tendering process took quite some time as well. It’s very exciting for the school,” said principal Margaret Brickenden.

The school currently has 58 pupils in two portakabins. The new school will have three classrooms and will be built on the existing site.
