Trad night at the Coach: Another traditional music night will be held in the Coach Inn on Friday 26th April. Our first night was a great success and we welcome everyone back for another lively night of entertainment. The legendary Mickey Dunne will be back playing uileann pipes and fiddle supported by a group of musicians, a few singers and we will dance a set or two. Starting at 9.30pm so we can fit it all in. Your support would be most welcome to make the Irish night a regular feature locally.

RECENT DEATHS: The funeral of the late Norrie Griffin of Clorane took place to Kilcornan cemetery following Requiem Mass in Holy Trinity Church Adare on April 27. Sympathy is extended to her sons and her extended family. The death of Mary Hartnett, nee Ahern, formerly of Athea and of the Station House Adare took place to the local cemetery following Requiem Mass in Holy Trinity Church Adare on Saturday, April 27. Sympathy is offered to her two sons and four daughters and their families and other relations. The funeral of Tom O’Grady took place to the local cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church at noon on Monday April 29. Sympathy is extended to his wife Carmel (nee Griffin), their children and extended families. Sympathy is also offered to Edwina Nash of Court, on the recent death of her brother

SHOUNTRADE QUIZ WINNERS: The Shountrade NS quiz team of Orlagh McNamara, Seán Connolly, William Cahill and Kevin O’Flaherty are the overall winners of the Credit Union Quiz Competition. They received wonderful prizes from Rathkeale & District Credit Union and were presented with the Perpetual Shield on Friday, May 3rd. Many thanks for Rathkeale & District Credit Union’s very generous cash sponsorship which financed a new sound system in their Halla. Shountrade NS are also delighted to have won the shield in the Coláiste na Trócaire Hurling Blitz.
